PANO was founded on the belief that architecture, craftsmanship, contemporary art and local culture become most meaningful when they meet in one place, set on a wild island whose rough autumns and winters have long inspired artists and craftspeople alike

Every residency brings together artists from Greece and around the world to spend dedicated time on Tinos—researching, creating new work, collaborating with local craftspeople and becoming part of the island’s cultural life.

Unlike commercial galleries or hotels, artist residencies rarely generate enough income to sustain themselves. They depend on people who believe that creativity deserves time and support.
